Late Harvest

Life-fueled creativity, inspired riffs and original stories.

Wrap up: Summer 2017

This spring/summer we had the chance to meet so many amazing friends, collect sweet experiences and reach new audiences all over southern Wisconsin. We loved the wide variety of gigs we got to play this season—our summer series at Capital Brewery (check out our Music page to hear live-track recordings), fundraisers for Second Harvest Food Bank and Rock County Historical Society, local favorites like The Nomad, Tip Top Tavern, The Wisco, The Frequency, Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and Fisher King Winery, as well as community events like Art Fair on the Square and also in Belleville, Janesville and Verona. We were featured in Madison Magazine, selected as a “Band to Watch-2017”, and nominated for Best Indie-Alt Band for the 2018 Best of Madison lists. Still haven’t voted? We’ll forgive you if you click here before October 15th and pick us.
Beyond our fun summer with LH, Travis started up a smooth-grooving improvisational duo with local drummer Verge Manyen called MoodTrain, Liz portrayed the great Adele at Majestic’s RESPECT show in July alongside an amazing community of Madison musicians, Liz and Aidan branched out to form Lily Pad Thieves with a focus on acoustic stylings and harmonies, Nate H. got engaged and Nate B put the finishing touches on a new solo project (which previously had earned him a MAMA nod for “Best Unique Performer.”) This band family sure knows how to keep busy!
This next fall/winter we have no intention of slowing down. We’ll be in the studio at the end of October, starting work on our very first EP. It’s been tough to narrow down 5 tracks to focus on first! From there we’re excited to work on a new music video for our next single, Down and Out. We’ll be working with Milwaukee director Dominic Panico and his team, who put together Easy Love for us last winter. It was an awesome experience the first time, can’t wait to get creating and capturing D&O’s spark. After that it’s new music city—we’re packed with inspirations and are so pumped to hibernate and turn them into something beautiful.
Want to catch us this winter? Cool. We miss you already. Come find us at the Frequency and again at Fisher King Winery this fall. More things in the pipeline—keep checking our new events page, keep up with us on Facebook and Instagram, and get ready for Madison Spring/Summer 2018…we’ll seeya out and about, living that Madison festival life
